The paintings here with objects on them, used as the "nose" or placed on top of the canvas edge, are the result my fascination with "found objects." It first started when my children would give me "junk" that they found on the ground, and I'd put the "junk" in my paintings. Recently, I search out my own junk at rummage sales, tourist shops, my aunt's cast-offs from her antiquing hobby, anywhere. I still get the occasional "thing" from my kids, too. Enjoy! -Kathleen
