CUT-PAINT PAINTINGS
I purposely pour and dry my acrylic paint on various surfaces, then peel it up and cut it into shapes. (This idea came about because I like to peel the residual paint out of my mixing cups when I’m done with them, and for years I’ve been attaching little pieces of this to paintings, here and there.) I use these cut-paint pieces, along with metal foils, tiny glass bits and gloss mediums to make the textural, shiny work you see here. - Kathleen
